I hate what has happened to steam now,
You cant save a favorite in Counterstrike anymore, you have to save it in steam only...

But steam act like a server to link to other games from Half Life and other First View games.

Selecting of Server play a big part of how smooth the game going to be.
There are servers all over the world.
For me, I would choose local or most Australia servers to play to reduce the lagtency.

Argh ya it only worked for a day for manually entering servers through console. I don't kno what to do anymore. THe latency keeps climbing higher and higher everytime i click it and when i manually join it says that it tries 4 times but doesn't connect. Oddly Day of Defeat source works fine.

where are you located?
You have cable or dsl internet right?
Also if your wireless how far from the router...
The only explaination that i can find for it not working is crappy internet connection... Because you reinstalled it right?

Ya its reinstalled, ethernet connected, all necessary ports are open, steam is functioning, all other games work, except Counter-Strike Source
