as the cpu is clocked higher (front side bus.. preferably in small increments..of say 1mhz if you are not familiar with oc'ing) it will draw more power... hence you also may have to step up the core voltage...

right. increasing the voltage alone won't give you any performance whatsoever--just more heat.

but if you overclock your fsb or multiplier and reach a point where you can't go any higher, increase your voltage a bit and try again.

just watch the temp. increasing the speed and voltage will really affect it.
