So I am finally equiped to download movies. I can play VCDs on my DVD player ( I don't have one yet on my system) so I was wondering if I can get a program somewhere to convert files to a format suitable for burning to disc and playing on my DVD player. Any suggestions would be appreciated folks. Thanks

If you are trying to burn VCD's, any professional burning program can do it.

Roxio Easy CD Creator Platinum and Nero are some just to name a few. There are also some free ones available. Check VCDHelp for a list of programs.

I have a question about vcd. Is there any why to split a file thats on your hard drive. I copied a home movies to my hard drive but when I tried to burn it to a cdr with Nero it says the file won't fit on the cd.

I use virtual dub to split my files. You can get at VirtualDub.
