Hi all,

I have a PlexWriter 8/4/32a
MOBO: kt7a
CPU: Duron 800
RAM: 192mb

I just installed WINXP. But whenever I try to burn iso's to CD (in either EZ Creator, Nero, or FireBurner - all latest versions), my computer gets partway through the burn and then reboots.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

goto your control panel, system, advanced, startup and recovery and make sure that you have auto-reboot turned off, that way you will get the blue screen giving you the true error so we can know what the problem is, it is either a driver or mobo problem i'm guessing, but when you ge tthe blue screen write down all the info and get back to us

you might also try switching the channel you have the burner on

Okay, I did what you said and tried to burn a CD again. So the Blue Screen had the message:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.

If the problem continues disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. :(

Just did some crude math and I apparently joined almost 18yrs ago, how is that possible???
