How do i find out what codecs are installed on my machine, i have a SVCD film but i cannot load it into TMPGenc but i can watch it. So i need to find out what is on my pc and compare it to someone elses that plays the file.

Good question. Some will be listed under add/remove programs. Now I'll have to go figure it out. I'm constantly findign videos I
can't play. Its annoying me enough to go work the issue.

program named GSpot of all things is usefull for telling you what codecs a file uses ... it comes w/ k-lite codec pack but I'm sure you can grab it standalone.

I have the g-spot program but the file is SVCD which is MPEG and g-spot is not compatible with mpegs'

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
