Close down Outlook in Scheduled Tasks?

I have a batch file that backs up key files for me each night. It is called by Scheduled Tasks.

I would like this batch file to also back up Outlook.pst, but xcopy in the batch file won't because of a lock.

So, I would like to close down Outlook, run the batch file, then restart Outlook again.

Anyone know a way this can be done?

TIA

Jim

Thanks Khayman

I already had this installed. It is very useful, but it only offers to do a backup as you close down Outlook.

What I am looking for is to automate the process, so I need to be able to close down Outlook.

Thanks

Thanks - that was the type of thing I was looking for.

However, Outlook will not respond to Close, and I don't want to kill it every night.

So, I guess I'll just have to do it manually for now.

Thanks
Jim

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. :(

Just did some crude math and I apparently joined almost 18yrs ago, how is that possible???
