I recently attempted to do a clean install XP on a newly formatted drive. The install was using a legit copy of XP. The installation was successful but produced only one icon (recycle bin) on the desktop. I have tried twice to do this install, both times a had one icon . Any clues would be appreciated

windowsxp wants you to use your pc mainly through the start menu, I hate this... as I hate to tick *show tray icon when connected* for any network connection I have

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
