Yeah, nothign, they had hardware at ABOVE retail prices then marked down. None was buying anything. And some tool at the Verizon counter was talking down to someone, and left their storm attached to the counter display. I made a few calls, texed some random people loving messages, and forwarded a few of his naughty e-mails to his mother.


Shouldn't leave stuff like that jsut laying around while you berate a customer for not purchasing the newest crap.




I was very tempted to set the homepage on all the PC's to highly offennsive porn, and then lock the configuration.

I went to Circuit City and asked the manager about the liquidation and the selling of items. The TV's they were selling (normal price, minus 10%, more expensive than Best Buy) were not on "loan" from a company, they had to sell them or they could ship them back to the company and get part of the money back (to the manufacturer it would come back, and be sold as refurbished, even if the box was never opened).

Circuit city used to buy things on credit on a +30 or + 60 billing. That means, when they sold something they had between 30 to 60 days to pay off what they bought the inventory for. When the economy tanked, they found it harder and harder to get credit to buy the merchandise, thus their model was busted.

technically they lived on the margin, of markup and retail prices. which is why the liquidators are not seeling everything at wholesale prices yet. The closer it gets to the 60 day receivable the better deals you will see. As they start slashing prices to just get rid of the merchandise.
