Hi,
I have just bought a Canoscan Lide 20 and it’s a bag of rubbish. I will not be buying a Canon product again with there stupid hardware lock feature that doesn’t unlock hardware when you flick the switch (yes the USB cable was disconnected).
I’m sending it back to Ebuyer, I think it got damaged in transit. I did also try a WIA driver, tried it on three different computers and two spare cables. Wow what a load of rubbish that scanner was.
Anyway moving on to the point of this post, I hope this is the right section, in your view, what is a good USB 2.0 scanner with a Power Supply plug. Don’t mention Canon scanners lol, if you had any problems with your choice of scanner please mention.
Also mention were you bought it from if you are in the UK, my budget is around £30-40. He just wants it to scan faxes and things like that, nothing fancy like high quality photo’s. Also what is a good online store apart from Ebuyer, overclockers.co.uk and overclock.co.uk.
Cheers,
Desie.
