I'm using CDex 1.4. Will it extract mp3s from my harddisk to a cd-r using a normal cdrom drive (not cd-rw) ?

No. Reason being is a normal cd-rom drive all it can do is read. rom=read only memory.

Am I right here? No I must be wrong? If what you asking is can you burn from the hard drive to a cdr go ahead no problemo. If you want to burn to a cd rom forget it.
