I wanted to rescue some files off a borked WinXP partition before trying to repair XP, so I got myself SuSe Live Eval (CD-booted) to access them and then send them safely over the network. But nooooo, SuSe hasn't compiled ntfs support into the kernel.

So what I need now is a CD-based distro that has the NTFS support built in, at least in read only. Prefferably X and some FTP app as well if at all possible. ;)

Does Knoppix have this? Any of the others?

Also I'm in a bit of a hurry. :(

knoppix has it :) so grab a copy and boot, mount your hdd and you have write acces to your drive :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
