They are also hinting at smaller download packages in the future by using "exciting new technologies" which *could* mean auto updates in the form of small downloads. But this is pure speculation on my part.

No Actually EP - most of the information was from a chat Rage3d had with ATi last night. I was browsing through the chatlog and skimmed all the important parts relating to 3.8 and posted them here, along with a couple of conclusions of my own.

So all this came from Ati themselves. Annoyingly the beta testers for Catalyst drivers are surprisingly tight lipped.

to be honsest its about bluddy time they included overclocking in the drivers, saves me having to use radclocker, and might actually allow overclocking for 9600 np cards which doesnt work, at least up to cat3.6 that i tried.

temp readout would be VERY useful too.
