Canonical Ltd. is giving away free CDs of their Debian based desktop Linux

yes...but i would rather get 515ish cds :). Gonna give some to the networking teacher and some nerd in my class :). Then i unno what i am gonna do with the rest.

On the download page for Ubuntu, it says they will ship the CD's once build 4.10 is finalized........ BUT, it's been downloadable since the 20th of October, so...... don't know when we might be gettin 'em. maybe tomorrow, maybe after Half-Life 2's released. :)

According to my last post, 4 weeks ago. My package was sent from Belgium, maybe that's the reason I got it sooner? (I live in the Netherlands, above Belgium)

i sent my order in 4 weeks ago. Hope mine comes soon

yay they came! all 10 but i prob try it yet cause i am gonna be busy tonight waiting for some people to try and get us back for surran wrapping his car to a pole :)

cant yet to see what my gf does when she gets home tomorrow and gets 510 of these cds :)

Downloading it would be a waste of a cd :p...its free so what the hell.

i did the live cd and i liked it. Its better than red hat in my opinion. I hope to install it on my other computer sometime soon.

I got mine yesterday, and today went to a local FreeBSD meeting. I had brought all my CD's with me, and handed them out like candy.

Do you think they would have a problem with me ordering some more? I think they would be very successfull at my local school.

I think they want to distribute them actually.

Care to elaborate?

On the page where i ordered them last time it said they had shipped me 30, which is correct. So I put in another order for 50 x86.

I have also emailed them, and i can always have my order revoked if they say that was not the point of the system.

ill let u guys know like 2 months from now when mine arrive :p

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
