Cannot open User Accounts control panel!

Hi fellow XP'ers,

I have recently re-installed Windows XP pro after getting a new motherboard. However, since doing so, evrytime I try to get into the User Accounts category in the control panels I get the error - "Windows Cannot Open The User Accounts Control Panel". I can get to users & groups through MMC. I have 2 accounts - admin and myself. I want to re-enable the multiple users logon screen, as at present it defaults to the old Win2K style username and password logon.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Have u tried looking in Services i cant remember what the service is called (Windows Welcome log in) summat to do with that

hmmmm....

type this in "run": control.exe userpasswords it will open up User Accounts menu
