say i want to install windows me upgrade ...can i install it in dos? if i put the boot disk at first and itll go in dos mode and install ME from there....like a full install and format c:\ is this possible or i have to use win 98

If you want to start clean. (format) Try this>

Bootup with the '98 boot floopy, no cd rom support. Format from there. Boot again with the floppy, this time with cd rom support. Insert the ME cd when ready & type D:\cd win9x (enter). (CD Rom)
D:\win9x setup (enter) Away it goes. You will be asked at some point for the full version of '98.

so it's possible to install WINDOWS ME UPGRADE ...not full version...ok i gotta try this

Moved to other operating systems. Because WinME is an OS that I consider an OTHER operating system :D

An upgrade is the same as a full version you just have to at some point put in a cd of another os you have to verify that u are upgrading.

PS, has to be a full version cd not an upgrade :(

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
