C / C++ compiler

    Hi all i Need a c/c++ compiler for windows 3.1 adn it needs to be small so it could be put on a diskett or more

    For Windows 3.1? As in Visual C++ for Win3.1? Not sure there is any...
    Can't you use a compiler for DOS?

    You should try an old version of borland though it might be only a C compiler...

    I would defently try a DOS compiler. A quick Google search will give you a lot of answers!

    there is a free one called dev C++, compile the program on a windows 98 or XP, and then transfer the newly compiled exe to a win 1.3 computer. Way easier.

    i could do that write the programs in a text file and then move them to a nother computer and create them but i want a program on that computer so im not dependent on a nother computer

    i have been looking around at dos compilers but im not sure what is good have anyone any good tip on this

    Borland works. DJGPP if you want something more advanced (provided they still exist :)).
