Yes, Bootvis certainly works, tho' not quite as dramatically as some claim, it cut my times from 39 seconds to 31 seconds, not much, but still well worth it.

well these posts are all interesting, I only got 5 c
secs., but even if I got no increase, how on this planet could anyone say "it's not worth it"? It's free, it hasn't hurt anyone yet, so, while I'm new to this forum, and I don't know about anyones propensity for negative posts, the negative posts on this string surely make no sense

LOL u know what RobbieSan i forgot all about that... some of my services where in fact disabled including the com+ but if i remember correctly all it did is reboot like i asked and do nothing when i said to optimised...lol ill try again some day lol

Yeah, I ran into it too. I did my trace and then tried to optimize but it wouldn't finish. Then I read through this list about services and after re-enabling a couple voila, optimize city.
