I just ran boot vis as per the guide on this site. It didn't do anything for me. Same amount of time to boot. Did I not do something right?

Boot vis does not help all people, it only helps if it finds a way to minimize your time, so you can consider your time to be the optimum for your comp for now.

cool

I was hoping for a speed increase but oh well.

Thanks for the heads up!

Next step is to disable all unnecessary services (especially the Worksation service - but only if you arent' on a network). That should help.

I know there is a list of services that can be disabled, any idea where I can find it?

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
