at boot up this is what is displayed

Searching floppy boot record: not found
Searching IDE-0 boot record: ok

then below it, it says:
NTLDR is missing
press any key to restart

so i looked at the microsoft site, and it said to use a 98 bootup disk up to copy sys.com to C:

now when i boot it up it shows the Windows 98 screen and then sits there and does nothing with only access to dos. also when i press F8, its not the XP menu anymore, but Windows 98.
ah man i screwed up this time

i have some stuff on my hard drive that i need, im currently using a 2.1 gb hard drive now (lol) and theres little space left, so can't transfer any files over. please help
thanks

well u could do it the long way if you have another hard drive. you can copy all your necessary files over to the extra hdd using the dos prompt.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
