I just picked up a sprint modem for my laptop.

I can hook up usb or bluethooth, but the problem with usb is my laptop sin't recognizing the modem when using usb, it does recognize the modem using blue tooth

am I loosing bandwidth over the internet with blue tooth over usb?

I would think the internet will be as fast but transfer speeds might impede that speed.

let me know what you think

Bluetooth is 751 kbps - cable is 1-3 mbps, DSL 0.384-1.5 mbps T1 is 1.5 mbps.

Bluetooth will cramp your connect speed unless Sprint DSL is reall slow. Typical DSL is 1-1.5 mbps.

    FYI common bluetooth questions

Stick with cables for senstive info and big data - BT is nice for the headset connection -

Of course IMHO for all this
