Help!

I need to buy a laptop for the family which must be able to run games such as SIMs and other stuff. SIMS seems quite intense on processing so the machine cannot be a wimp!

I've been looking at this Dell :£637 all in

Dell™ Vostro 1510 NB

Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T5870 (2.0 GHz, 2 MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB),
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium SP1 - English,
256 MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8400M GS (64 bit) Graphic Card,
320GB (5400rpm) SATA Hard Drive,
4096MB (2x2048) 667MHz DDR2 Dual Channel

Which seems reasonably spec'd. Is it? I've lost touch a bit recently so any pointers in this market would be useful.

Cheers

Vostro is Dell's business line up. XPS is their gaming series.

Anythig Dell or HP (HDX are the high-end gaming laptops) is good these days. I'd say HP have the edge though.

SIMS is processor intensive, though a core 2 duo will eat it for breakfast with the whole australian outback to spare :)

I went for the M1530 2.4 GHZ XPX from Dell - in bubblegum pink for my daughter!

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
