wats the best sound card for a 5.1 setup under $150
a nice card would be the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz...
its actually under $100 so you'll save yourself some bucks..
the Creative audigy series is good but a lot more hype than actual performance.. in hindsight I woulda bought something else... but it does its job and is an alternative to the Santa Cruz...
Cheap = Soudblaster Live digital 5.1 SE
can get an Audigy 2 (6.1 channel... so if you want to upgrade later for whatever reason) OEM w/ drivers for $76.99 (free two day shipping, as well) here. Pretty nice site- bought a rediculous amount of stuff from this place for the last few puters Ive put together, so they are definitely a reliable source
hope this helps a little
I like my Audigy Gamer. It only cost me $80.
sorry to add yet another card...
but the digifire's get great reviews. newegg has the digifire 7.1. fry's here has one in today's here with the external box for like $70.
Best Sound card for under $150 for audio quality, not gaming:
M-audio Revolution 7.1
