AutoPatcher XP description

oriz_dots.gif
This release is based on the all-new AutoPatcher 5.0. Although it was made with Windows XP SP2 (English) in mind, it will load on any Windows version or language, showing only the items which match the running environment.

Things missing

a. Hacked files
Since I had to work on this release by myself, I decided not to include any hacked files. This means you will not find any uxtheme or tcpip fix. Of course, modules can be done for those later.

b. Registry undos
The Registry Undo tool will not function. We will need to rearrange the registry undo files. If you need to undo a registry tweak, you may ask for the specific file in the forum.

Switches

/unattend:tX
This activates unattended installation. Since there are 3 tiers of unattended installation, you will need to replace X with a number from 1 to 3. Tier 1 (/unattend:t1) calls for normal user interface (also activated when tier level is ommited; /unattend). Tier 2 (/unattend:t2) calls for limited user interface (just a small window). Tier 3 (/unattend:t3) will make AutoPatcher completely invisible.

/skipdetection
AutoPatcher will always run detection on the loaded items. The only way to skip this is the /skipdetection switch.

/english
If your regional settings are set to a language other than english, AutoPatcher might load with a translated UI. This does not affect the items it loads. However, if you feel more confortable with the english UI, you can use the /english switch to override UI translation. This is only available for english (there's no /greek or /french).

b. Messenger Plus!
After numerous posts regarding Microsoft's Anti-Spam finding spyware in the Messenger Plus! setup file, I decided it would be better to remove Messenger Plus! from AutoPatcher. Sorry.

Any of the SP crew still out there?
