Auto Power off with no ACPI

I disabled ACPI everything went fine but now my computer wont shut off when I power down. It use to be able before, and nothing is disabled in devide manager even when i show all device..

Any help would be appreciated.

Check the software you're running. Try disabling ALL auto-start apps, boot up, then try to shut-down. If that doesn't work, then reenable ACPI and move on =/

i read somewhere that if u reinstall winxp and hold some key(s) down as setup starts, u can install on a "standard pc" rather than an "acpi pc" in which (afaik) u can enable APM in windows. APM is the old style power system before ACPI that allowed the pc (using ATX power) to auto-turn off after shutdown.
