audio extraction rate

whats a desent audio extraction rate? ive got a teac 40x cd-rom and i`m only getting 15x from cd to cd even after ive installed the firmware to make it faster.anyone know any good cd roms that gave a faster audio extraction rate?

I think its the limit of the IDE cable not the drive

Buy a RAID card and Run your CD drives off of that = speed

15 X speed audio extraction is not bad. I get 20X out of my yamaha crw2200E, with no quality loss (and that is the important thing). The higher the extraction rate the greater the chances of errors or jitters....
