:D Great news for ATI R300 (Radeon 9700 Pro), or 9500 users, some new drivers that rock big time (for me anyway).

I can push to the max and no lockups (as compared to CAT2.3s), were D3D, was very bad, plus lockups.

Get the drivers here build 6.13.10.6193 http://www.guru3d.com/files/

They are not WHQL certified, but work fine, newly added to the control panel program, that comes with the driver zipfile, is VGART control, apparently in the next official build there will also be a fix for the 60Mhz issues some people are having.

    :D Njoy :D

Would be better to remove any trace of Nvidia video related files first, yes.
A clean install of XP would be even better, but it's the hard way ;)

whenever you have a major hardware change you would probably do a clean format/reinstall of win XP... thats what I do...

    everything works best then...
