athlon xp vs p4

    hi i heard this thing for like a long time and i just decided today i would post it and make sure...

    can an amd athlon xp +2000 *1.67ghz beat a p4 1.6ghz pc?

    yeah it kicks the pants of it

    I've got the original P4 1.6 willamette & an XP1800 @ 1.53

    the Athlon is much quicker for gaming according to 3Dmark

    Hmm, yes, yes it is. It's 375 x 281

    while site asks for nothig larger then

    200 x 500.

    Too tall!

    Athlon XP 2000+ is about 20% faster than a Pentium 4 1700 CPU in PCMark.

    intel is better jus cuz i say so :p

    depends on the scenario...

    - loading stuff into memory : intel

    - using stuff in memory, playing games etc : amd

    amd seems to be the winner!! lol
