Apparently my ASUS Board comes with ASUS logo, I cannot find anything on the cd other than some BMP's.

Anyone else have an ASUS board and/or know how to get the logo thing working??

Ta'

yeah

yeah its part of the asus update program

but it always says that the selected file is too big dont know why!

O right, cool.

So you have never managed to put one on then?

You first have to enable it in your BIOS, then copy your BIOS file to a directory on your HD, run the MY Logo program and point it to your BIOS file and the logo you want to add. It will add your logo and then you have to reflash using your new modified BIOS.
Neglected to mention that the new logo has to be 640X480 or less and 16 colors maximum.

Make sure you use a logo that you REALLY want to KEEP! From my understanding, you have to flash the BIOS to use the logo. You can only flash a bios so much before it goes bad. Once it goes bad, you'll have to buy a new motherboard (or find some way to replace that BIOS chip, good luck there). I'm still working on a logo compilation, I just need to find more stuff to put on it.

hmmm

hmmm where do i turn it on in my bios?

Acctually you can flash a bios ton's of times w/o destroying it. The problem is if the power goes out or corrupted data get's entered then kiss your chip good bye. A bios uses flash memory just like those flash cards.

Indomidable: you are incorrect.

Most BIOS chips have 2MB of "flash" memory available, but once you flash it once, that part is used up, so the next time you flash you may only have 1.9MB. Once you reach 0MB you will be unable to update your BIOS.

Between changing logos and updating I have probably flashed my BIOS 40 or 50 times with no problems. When you reflash you erase the old data so I don't understand where the limit on flashes comes in.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
