I Just built a new computer and I am having a sound issue. I have an asus A7V333 mother board (doubles as my sound card) & an ATI TV tuner (pci).

The problem that I am having is that I cannot get Sound to go through the Line-in on my motherboard. If I hook up my TV tuner card to my motherboard through the Microphone, the sound is too quiet even with the microphone sound boast.

If I try and use the Line-in, I get no sound at all.

    I have 3 ports:
    1. mic - works
    2. speakers - works
    3. Line-in

Reinstalled the drivers and the associated programs, sound set up as 2 speakers and all volume is not muted and turned to the max.

    Thanks in advance...

    ~Dan

p.s. Long shot but thought I would ask, ask if you need more info.

I have the same mobo, I don't use the onboard audio. Tried line-in of your sound card, I guess ?

What's your specs ? Sound card and all ?

Sorry, I didn't get it when you when you wrote:

I thought you had a separate sound card...
Dumb thoughts... what bios rev do you have ? Latest final (1011) ? Did you tried uninstall reinstall sound components ? Did you checked sound level in sound properties ?
