ASUS A7V-333 RAID not working

Does anyone has any suggestions for me?

I have an ASUS A7V-333 RAID mb and AthlonXP 2000+. WinXP runs fine (except the usual heating problem with the CPU). When I enable the RAID function on the mb, WinXP refuses to start and keeps rebooting. I am using an older PSU from my previous PC build and it is only 300W.

I have the following components:
Asus A7V-333 RAID
AthlonXP 2000+ (Coolermast HSF)
Abit Siluro GF4 420MX
512MB Crucial PC2700 DDR
300PSU
16x Panasonic DVD
Plextor 40x 24x 40x CRDW
100MB Internal ZIP

see if you can borrow another power supply and see if that fixes it. or you can disconnect everything you don't need like dvd, cdrw, zip, extra pci cards... see if that lets you enable raid. if it does, you will need a new power supply.

... by the way, sorry about your video card, man... *cringe*
