I have been asked to go out and purchase all the needed parts to get wireless internet in a house.

I assume you need a wireless modem; and wireless network cards. Could anyone please give me some links; what they think is good; or any one, any; of these products in general.

    Thanks

    Nick.

I see. Thank you. and Newegg ships to USA, correct?

( Just paranoid; making sure )

Also; Dlink PCI wireless cards would work with a Linksys router...

    Hello New Yawk City!

Check the protocol they use. If proprietary, better stick to the same
vendor. But my guess is they use some standard that'll be prominently displayed. You might wanna go down to Crazy Ed's or Crazy Hussein's and check it out in person before ordering on-line.

    Good luck!

Oh, one more thing. I have a LinkSys BEFSR41 (wired) cable router and have been using it almost 2 years. Haven't had a lick of trouble with it and I've burned new FW several times. A really nice product. I highly recommend LinkSys products.

I have been using the Linksys BEFW11S4. Very good so far, but I have only Linksys cards connecting with it. It covers my entire house with good signal quality.

I have read though that this does not play well with the WAP11 (wireless access point), but will play nicely with the WET11 (bridge) and other cards.

  6. Yes, NewEgg.com is in California.

Yeah, stay with either D-Link or Linksys products!

Yes, I have to agree. Newegg.com is tops in my book.

I had good experiences with both brands :)

Thanks for everything guys; I'll either pick it up from local best buy; or get it from newegg.com ;)
