hi im trying to rip a video out of a dvd using eazy vcd and it's telling me that i dont have aspi installed so installed aspi 4.71.1 and it doens't install completly, wowpost.exe and winaspi.dll aren't installing so i went back to the older version 4.6 it installs fully and but eazy vcd doesn't accept it, and the annoying thing is that just yesterday i ripped a movie from it with no errors, anyone know what's wrong with it?

oh yea and i even tried uninstalling and reinstalling eazy vcd and still won't work

Perhaps you could obtain the correct version of those files individually, find out what directories they should reside in, and manually put them there yourself. Sounds like a pain, I know, but worth a try if you really want to get it working. :)

try getting winaspi, or force aspi i think it was called

nope didn't work i got all the files manually to the right locations, i tried force aspi none of those worked :(

Just a quick question, did you install the latest XP updates? Becuase since I have, I have had similar "glitches". ASPI is one and my printer port/driver not loading all the time on bootup.

yeah cuz i told him to use autopatcher, so he did get them

Download and install autopatcher for windows xp, has aspi on it, you need only install that if you wish.

Check the various mirrors and download the ones that say Jan2005

he has autopatcher, with the feb update too

IF you have nero installed, copy wnaspi32.dll from the nero directory to the directory of what ever program is having aspi issues. You can also google for wnaspi32.dll and probably find a download of it.

what movie is it?

Recent Sony movies have used a different type of copy protection to stop most people from ripping movies...

If it's not a sony movie or not a newer movie than this doesn't apply...an example would be Resident Evil Apocalypse (sp?)...and as of right now the only way to rip these is to use DVD Decrypter and then encode with a different program

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
