for any geforce card series 7 on freebsd 7.0 x64 ? - are they stable? or if i do need to use the pc for a workstation/server roll its best to go with 32bit as there are drivers for 32bit freebsd

The 64-bit nvidia drivers work on linux but not on freebsd. I am using the 64-bit drivers with my GeForce 7950 and they are quite stable.

i know they have x64 drivers for linux - but its for a bsd system i am asking, i cant believe they havent got drivers out for bsd x64 yet

There are no 64 bit version of the Nvidia drivers, because they need specific features to be implemented in the kernel before they will even start on one:

bloody hell , so now i have to decided on my options between 32bit and 64bit

Unless you have more than 3GB of RAM and need to use all of it, there is really no reason to go 64-bit. The performance gains of 64-bit at this time are very negligible.
