serial's fairly new...first gen not that much adv over ata 133..not to mention drives are expensive.....price/performance ratio not worth it at this moment

    just my opinion..drunken that is:p

I am happy with my MSI KT4 Ultra running two Seagate Barracuda SATA drives in raid. No problems and performance is fine.

Does anyone have experience installing the Raptor on an MSI k7n2 ilsr ? I've been trying a few days now and cant seem to get the machine to recognize the new drive. I tried using only the Raptor in SATA1 slot on mobo, going through the windows XP install, installing the drivers from floppy via f6 in windows install. When its ready to select the drive to install on is where is says it doesnt recognize any drives.

I also booted as normal with the Raptor still plugged in and dont see any trace of it.
