Why do you want to see our source code?

LoL wait i said it wrong, i want to have the code to disable the "view source" (for my site).

Anyways when i visit a site i mostly check out the source code, no reason :p
And i was curious if this was a php nuke site...

We use VirtuaNews and vBulliten here ;)
as for the disable view source.. they never work, as there are so many ways around it.
    • The "view" menu on your browser will usually allow you to see the source.
    • You can save the page then open it with notepad.
    • You can view a locally cached version of the page.
    • If available you can open the links browser, hit the '\' key, and you've got the source.
    • If it's a pop-up, you can keep the right button held, click the pop-up with the left, then release the right, and you have the code
    • and loads more methods...

If you really want to try and stop people looking though, there are some scripts available here: http://www.hotscripts.com/JavaScript/Scripts_and_Programs/Security/index.html

Note to you, that doestn work in mozilla as the right click menu will still show up.

Second, on IE we can still get your source by going to: view -> source.

you could put the page inside an invisible frame, that way view source from the view menu would just show the frame source

Unless you're using Mozilla or opera, you then get a seperate frame menu ;)

This type of code is just stupid IMO. It's easy to go around if you want to "steal code" or hotlink or whatever and it's really annoying for anyone who won't, but wants to look at the code or do anything else. Be gone I say! :)

Maybe I should start an online movement to ban it... :)
