So as stated in my XP64 for noobs thread I am building a computer for an acquaintence. I have a couple more questions though.
Here's the specs I'm looking at:

    AMD64 3200+
OCZ 1024 PC3200 Dual Channel Kit
    Seagate 7200.7 160GB SATA W/NCQ
LG Super Multi DVD Write (GSA-4163B)
    Creative Labs SB Audigy2 ZS
    MSI RX800XL-VT256E

My questions is about motherboards, I have always been a fan of Asus, and have been looking at the A8N-E or the A8V-E Deluxe (the only real difference between them that I can see is the builtin Wi-Fi on the A8V-E), but I seem to recall hearing good things about MSI K8N Neo4 platinum.

I only have $1500 CAD to work with so can't really afford to vary much on the components above, and while the Neo4 is a bit more expensive if it's going to be a fairly good improvment over the Asus then I can support going with it.

    TIA
    James

Well I've never used ASUS before, but I can tell you that the Neo4 Plat is a reliable mobo. If you want the wifi option, it's available on the Neo4 as well - not sure what prices in the US/Canada.
