Don't even have to read the rest of the story. I would like to say, CONGRATULATIONS to AMD.

as far as I know that is the only differenice between an XP and an MP besides the MP's is sometimes behind in clock speed's compared to the XP. If anybody as any more info about the differenices between an XP and an MP feel free to post as I would like to learn more and I figure ohter ppl would too

Athlon MP supports Dual CPU Motherboards and comes already unlocked........................and is more expensive than the XP :)

i thought that XP was the flagship and MP was the trailer. if MP DOES out preform the XP, why not make it your flagship?

    MP is the server solution...

Its the more expensive, bigger L2 cousin of the XP

    XP is for desktops

AFAIK its simply that the MP processors are guranteed to work in SMP rigs, the XPs just might, if youre lucky.
