    Hey guys,
Recently, I am using Aztech ADSL modem which is suck. It's doesn't come with web management. You have telnet to ur ur modem and set the configuration over there. And the modem didn't come with command manual. The modem is build it DHCP server. I setup NAT b4. The configuration was 2 nics card. eth0 for my ISP and eth1 for my local. It's easy for me to up my apache server, mysqlserver...so on. All I need to get a modem which doesn't come with dhcp server and nat.... Thanks

The modem you have is acctually a NAT router with a built-in DSL modem. So what you need is just an ordinary DSL modem.

    Guys,
I am having this problem. My nic card(eth0) used to grab ip from the ISP and another nic card(eth1) provided ip to my local network. When I did ipconfig, It used to show eth0 65.xx.xx.xx and eth1 192.168.1.1. Right now I don't know what is going with the ISP or the modem. When I did ipconfig, it showed ppp adapter 65.xx.xx.xx and my eth0 became 192.168.1.2. I guess my box is become client instead of server. any clue guy? Thank you!!

If you get the IP from your ISP (65.*.*.*), your modem is not acting as a router. And why do you have an additional NAT computer set up if your modem has a router itself?
