ADSL and Network port.

Im getting adsl and heard lots of horror stories about the supplied usb modem and how usb isnt meant to be used for internet.
I was wondering, can you just plug adsl into a 100mb network card?

Errrmmm... what horror stories have you heard ?!? There's absolutely nothing wrong with plugging your ADSL USB modem straight into your machine - I've been using an Alcatel Speedtouch USB modem quite happily for over 3 months now, with no perfomance or any other issues !
