Adobe Photoshop 7 Cropping Problems

Hey all,

I am having an issue with cropping in Photoshop 7.0. For some reason when I crop a picture, instead of giving me just that portion of the picture, it enlarges the pic to the same size as the original pic... so if a pic is 1024x768, and I crop say, a 500x500 portion of the picture, I think it makes it back to 1024x768, drawing it out and making it pixelated... why is it doing this and how do I fix it?

Make sure the resolution you're plugging into the actual crop tool is correct. That, or just clear it to avoid confusion.

If that doesn't work, try highlighting the area with the rectangle selection tool and then choose Image/Crop from the menu. If you get the same problem, something went screwy and you should try a reinstall.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
