My wife's system is having an interesting problem. When she uses the address bar search, you type in ikea to go to www.ikea.com for example, it always sends her to one specific website. No matter what she plugs in. Our systems are virtually identical, both running Windows XP: Home Edition SP1. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

What website it sends you to would help tell what you;ve got there. In any case, get/run adaware and Spybot .

It could be a browser hijack of some sort, or something in the HOSTS file.

Are your Search settings set the same on both computers? i.e. they are both set to use the same search engine?
