Access to old Userfolder

Hi there! I have a question. How can I get access to an userfolder of an old installation? Even in safe mode I can't take over this folder.

Open Windows explorer> tools> folder options> 'view' tab> scroll all the way to the bottom and untick 'use simple file sharing.' After that, right click on the folder> properties> 'security' tab> 'advanced' button> 'owner' tab. Try changing 'ownership' and see what you see.

If that doesn't work, back up the affected folder and then restore it to an alternate location w/o the security features.

half the way

well thank you so far. i have no access to the folder but now i get the same no-accesss-message for the folders inside!

i got it! i have to change the ownership for every single folder... thank you for your help!

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. :(

Just did some crude math and I apparently joined almost 18yrs ago, how is that possible???
