It is a ver very very old board, made all the way back in late 2000 if i can remember correctly. The board works great, but as i said is very old and is not getting. I wouldnt pay more than $25 for it. It supports up to a 1.4ghz (1400mhz) AMD Athlon Socket A proccessor. Hope this answers yoru questions.

thats what i pay for it, i have read the reviews and says it works fine........so i can use any type of athlon as long is 1400 or less???

doesnt matter is it athlon xp, thunderbird or palomino??

You can use Athlon T-birds up to 1400MHz, and If it's a version 1.3 you can use XP chips too.

Even if it isn't a 1.3 I'm sure they'll work fine anyway (long story)...

I have this board and although it is old(ish), it's still superb! :)

If you get a 1.4 or slower it will be find with any KT7A board. But if you want to use an athlon xp you will need the "Abit KT7A v1.3" with the latest BIOS update. The version number should be printed on the motherboard somewhere where is says "KT7A". Good Luck.
