I have 40x compliant CDRs and when I burn a full 80 minutes of data or audio cd Nero shows that it takes 3 1/2 minutes to burn the CD at full speed.

Is that how long it should really take to burn a full 80 min CD at 40x?

i had it worked out for u but lost my post b4 i could send it but your right it longer than should be burning at 6000KBPS

forgot to mention plextor cant do digital audio at 40 speed or anywhere near it i think it drops to 32, teac is only one to be able to do it but nero will tell u your read speed should be twice your write speed for digital on the fly audio copying so i cant go as high even with teac as my dvd-rom only do audio at 17 speed as all dvd-roms they cant do audio at same speed as data due to laser been diff from cd-rom only or writer.

you use calculater to work out 40 speed nero tells u is 6000kb that same as 6mb so 700mb disc /6/60 will give u time in minutes i got 1.9 mins

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
