I have just had pc reformatted and I have a Hercules 3D Prophet 11Mx graphics card.XP loaded a digi signed driver version 5.01.2001.1240.I believe this may need upgrading as under a test from PCpitstop the results suggested the graphics performance was unusually slow.I looked at Hercules site and there is a driver, version 21.81dated 09/10/01.Also there is a generic driver, version 23.11,dated 22/03/02.Which one should I use?and what is the difference between all three versions?
    Cheers
    Mick.

As for which one to use, I would go to nVidia's website and get the newest drivers (I think that they are rev. 29.42). The difference between the drivers you are talking about is age. The XP driver being the oldest up to the 23.11. The newer the driver, the better it usually is because the have made fixes to problems that some people may have had. It's usually best to get the newest driver that you can because it will increase the performance of your card.

I'd go with the higher number driver. There's just something about higher numbers being related to speed. Then again, the choice is yours.:D

Thanks for replies, upgraded drivers, all ok,but when I went to shut down I got the warning/error message regarding virtual memory/page file being low.I can`t remember exact words but if it happens again I will post message on forum. How do I stop this message coming up again,I know you can set page file size but not sure exactly what to do.I have 256Mb mem and 40Gig HDD.
    Cheers
    Mick.
PS.Not even sure if driver upgrade has anything to do with it.
