why is there such a gap under my posts?

I just went in to see if it's in my sig and I can't spot anything to cause this but there's a HUGE gap under all my posts

any ideas?

Your posts are short

Basically the post area is composed of everything where your avatar is and the post itself so it is aligned to the bottom that way.

I can't remember why exactly we made the decision to align it there, but it made good sense at the time.

Looks more like his sig is short [height wise

]. Looks to be a defined amount of space and the more sig you have the less "dead" space you have between your comment/sig.

I have no sig but have excess space below my posts.

Just as what was said, it depends on how much information is under your avatar, AND depending on your signature. For example, I both don't have very much information under my avatar, AND I have a larger signature, which is bottom-justified. Which therefore takes up some of the gap underneath my messages, leaving only a smallish gap.
