It's been a year since it was shown off with less bugs at CES. I don't know what they've been doing, but it certainly wasn't 'active development' on this Vista client. Everybody at work is assuming they were waiting until 3.5 release was official or something. Our WPF client looks better, is...

It saves time off the boot. Why would you want some Windows logo that will just look dated in a few years anyways? The worst was Win2K.. The worst part about it is that they had to stick the text on it...
Admittedly, it's impossible to pin it to the chipset..but its nearly every 680 chipset motherboard that is having this plethora of quirks. I suppose maybe it could be a coincidence.. later revisions of the mobos will probably be fine.
indyjones - i thinks its a great idea to go 2x1GB immediately, then allow yourself the extra 2 slots for a total of 4GB. You may not need it now - so you dont have to fork over an extra $200 utnil you really realize you need it.
The Striker boards look like they are having problems over on...
4GB of RAM nearly is overkill - but I think if you can appreciate any one thing, it would undoubtedly be the overkill in RAM. SO many RAM related issues with Vista, gaming, entertainment apps..etc.. It turns into $400-500 for 4GB of good DDR2800, but I don't believe that it should be taken any...
I dont get why you are referencing the Prescott Pentium-D when it is obsolete as a platform. Yes, it sucked. The entire P4 platform sucked and was full of energy leakage too. A total revamp to the Core series meant low power consumption and an extremely high performance. Intel's Core is...
I just purchased an ASUS Commando with the P965 chipset. It's a brilliantly laid out motherboard and it's had some seriously good reviews. It's a $200 motherboard, so its no 680 chipset motherboard (usually $300 - 400), but those things have a terribly negative review for some reason.
I too...
Hey if I had $550 I would have a GTX too..but a $340 640MB GTS will be sufficient for any game I can play at 1600x1200. I dont plan on being the ubergamer.
OMG i just read past post #1 and VANQUISHED... what are you smoking? (Besides AMD's pole, of course.) Nobody's paying you to be their fanboy.. ALL benchmarks show that an E6300 with only 2MB of cache can be overclocked on stock air and smash the fastest most expensive AMD offering for something...
Vanquished - why would you be against the 8800 GTS 320mb so much you'd recommend a 7950GT over it? I've done extensive readings from just about every reviewer and they all show that a 320 is the same speed as the 640, on a per-game basis depending on the resolution. At 1600x1200 and up it...
Sometimes my video gets messed up with VLC. Its usually the video output module being used.. DirectX and GDI don't ever work. The only one that does is OpenGL output. Try messing around with the output in the settings menu...
Ok I caved for simplicity, no IF statements! hehe

yes, but in all fairness, he said something about "if" the prior line had the tabs, add the tabs to the next line. so shouldn't there be an If statement in there ? :)
Valiant idea, X-Istence..
Since VB.NET is generally a beginner language, here's a decent lesson.
ControlChars.Tab in VB.NET doesn't work in labels and I wanted to keep that 'non-text box' look going. So here is the entire solution + exe in a zip.
PrivateSub tab4Lines_Enter(ByVal sender...
