If I click on properties for any drive I cant error check that drive, I can defrag only. Im thinking windows might be nackered. Maybe i need to reinstall but thats a dam headache on its own.

When I try to format a floppy disc nothing happens? Ive not had need for my floppy disc for quite a while but I want to boot from it to try memtest and cant. Anyone have any Ideas? It reads a disc fine, ive got disc keep 8 installed could it be that??

PM 8 is very good never had any problem at all no matter what I was doing with it. Ive used true image but not the partitioning software from acronis, I may have a look at it though.

SORTED NOW, turned out to be 2 problems, 1 was the intall shield exe in my system 32 folder, then the dreaded sysdump text error was caused by a poor power connector on my fx9500. :lick: :laugh:
