Did you do what Lancer suggested? What does the monitor do while all this is going on?
If the case was knocked, even lightly, it is very possble that something, mabe the video card has come lose. Reseat it by taking it out & putting it back.
I once had a program, win fax 10, that when...
Yep that's the way.
Only other thing I can think of is the way they are connected to the board & each other. Sorry. :(
If taking one drive out & getting it working in another system maybe the connections is the thing that is wrong. (Don't understand your last sentence.)
Only thing I can think of is...
are you reinstalling the sata/raid when booting of the cd for the installation of the system?
What OS are you installing?
Back up the registry, delete it, reboot, see if that has got it. If not reinstall the registry. Or simply rename the the above....after noting the name now, reboot, see what gives. If it has done the trick then delete it.
Also when you look at the combos it will tell you what the required system specs are. If your system is fairly new you shouldn't have a problem.
Get one with a dvd writer not just to read dvd's. Shop around & you should get a good price.
Backup your registry first. I have not tried these.
Check your settings here:
1/ HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications. Select the associated sub-key, if 'NoOpenWith' is listed, delete it.
This setting allows you to control whether the checkbox to save the "Open With" program is available...
You could give this a go. It works in XP. Right click the setup.inf file & select 'Install'.
Reboot, then right click / properties on a folder to see the security tab.
