I am trying to use the remote desktop function within my home network. So far everything just went fine. I am running XP Pro on the one and Win2000 on the other machine. Still there's a problem. Every time I try to open an explorer window mtsc.exe crashes and the connection hangs up...

This sounds similar to the problem I have had being infected with some kinda worm. Can't remember how it was called but it infected my RPC and was always shutting down my OS also. Antivirus software and firewall programs were terminated right after opening them.

I am running a 2 PC "network" at home so I am able to access the net with both computers at the same time.
Is there a possibility of shutting down the server by sending some command from the client???
My server is running XP and the client is on Windows 2000.
